Peace In the Valley - Not for Sale

48 x 24

Oil on Stretched Canvas

I see that it has been nearly a year since I last posted. Where has the time gone!? This is a larger painting and it did take a while, but there was too much time between sessions spent in front of the easel. This painting reminds me of Cade's Cove in Tennessee. It is such a beautiful and special place.

Carriage Hill Farm - SOLD

Carriage Hill Farm
6x6 Oil on board
This painting is SOLD

This is a small painting that I tried to do very quickly. I am wanting to work on loosening up. This one is and I really enjoy doing it.  This is a scene at the Carriage Hill Farm in Ohio. It is a very old farm, still a working farm and is open to the public. It is a very nice place to go and see how things were done in days gone by. There is a nice lake and walking trails also.

Tree with Green - SOLD

Tree With Green

This painting is back stapled. The sides are painted black so that it is ready to be hung with or without a frame.

I have listed a bunch of paintings on eBay. I have gone through some of my paintings and tried to clean house. I need to find homes for these paintings. Most of them are smaller, from 5x5 to 10x20, but as I said, mostly smaller. These painting are some that were done for fun, and made up. Some were from lessons that I had taken. I have tried to keep the prices lower on these paintings.

Early Snow - SOLD

Early Snow
8x10
This painting is SOLD
Please visit my Etsy Shop HERE

This is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas. It is back stapled and finished on all sides. It can be hung with or without a frame.

It is so hot so many places that I thought this might help cool us off!! Doesn't it make you feel cooler just looking at it?! It is 96 degrees and 107 heat index! So this snow is looking pretty good to me right now. I would love to go outside and take a hike, but there is no way with it this hot. When it is winter, at least I can bundle up and take a walk in the quite of the snow. Just give us six months and it might be at least 100 degrees difference in the temperature than what it is right now. What an amazing thought.

I love the detail of this tree that is in the spotlight. I really enjoy painting these bare trees. They can have so much character.

Memories of Cade's Cove

Memories of Cade's Cove

12x16 Oil on Stretched Canvas

Available for $95 plus $10 shipping
Please contact me.

This painting was done from a lesson. This isn't a specific place, but it does remind me of Cade's Cove, one of my favorite places. If you have ever been there you know how beautiful it is. This painting was from a lesson that I did.  Although this was a learning experience, I really love this one. The stretched canvas is gallery wrapped and beautifully finished on all sides, ready to hang, with or without a frame.

Speaking of learning experiences, some of you know already that I am working on a larger, 2x3 ft. commissioned painting. The buyers are building a beautiful new home. I am spending many hours on it and so have not done any other painting lately. Some of the more recent paintings that are posted are ones that I have done within the last couple of years or so. I am not posting progress on the commissioned painting because I want the buyer to be surprised and hopefully in a good way. They have left it up to me what to do with it, except for requests for using certain colors, and trees and a creek. It is coming along and I think it will be a good one, but I want it to be as good as I am capable of doing, for these special buyers! So, when it is finished, hopefully soon, I will post it then.

Hazy Day - SOLD

Hazy Day
9x12 Oil on stretched canvas

This painting is Sold

This is a more impressionistic type painting. It has some nice soft colors of lavenders and blues to compliment the orange of the tree. I did this from a painting lesson. I have a few of those. Hopefully they are helping me learn to be a better painter. I think they are!
This painting is back stapled and finished on all sides, so it is ready to hang as is, or can be framed.
