Since I can remember from my earliest childhood, I have always been fascinated by the heavens. I seriously intended to be the first woman on the moon. But God had better plans for me. I feel like I have about as many Grandchildren, sometimes, as the number of stars you see on this painting. The more I look at this painting, I think the two larger stars could be Mike and me, the 3 smaller stars, Annie, Carrie and Jeremy, and the distant stars, the grandchildren and those to come and some whose first glimpse of light was in Heaven. This is no real place, that I know of. Just imagined it.

Psalm 19:1 "The Heavens declare the Glory of God and the Firmament showeth His handiwork"

  1. Hi Janet:

This one is a beauty, so intriguing. You are really developing your "voice", I think. Some of your paintings have such an ethereal quality to them, some are haunting and lonely feeling. At least that's what I've been getting from them.
I did want to let you know that your work is becoming more and more beautiful. Keep up the great work.
